This fine art counted cross stitch pattern, entitled The Waterfall, designed from a painting by Edmund Marriner Gill shows a beautiful waterfall tumbling over the edge of a cliff. Mountains can be seen in the background, and the lush vegetation and small trees flank the sides of the cliff. The artist is well-known for his paintings of waterfalls all around the United States. It is a lovely sunny day with blue skies and clouds. One can almost imagine the sound of the water as it cascades over the cliff with different shades of color in the water sprays. What a glorious sight! Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we use a variety of solid colors to achieve a more realistic effect.
