This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Upon Sunny Waves designed from a painting by Hans Andreas Dahl shows several small sailboats on choppy waters on a sunny day just right for sailing. Although the wind has picked up and the waters are a little rough, it makes for fun when sometimes testing the limits of nature. The sky, in particular, is breathtaking with the sunbathing the mountains in golden light and the light also outlines the crest of each wave. But the choppy water and wind did not deter those from going out on the water for a day of fun, and they seem to be enjoying this beautiful day! Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we only use an abundance of solid colors to produce a more realistic effect.
