This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Waiting by the Fountain designed from a painting by Vittorio Matteo Corcos shows a young woman sitting near a large fountain looking as if she is contemplating something in deep thought. She almost looks wistful in her expression. Perhaps she is waiting for her true love to appear. She is dressed in all white with a blue scarf around her neck, a blue sash around her waist, and sits with her umbrella across her lap. The fountain where she is sitting is in the form of a lion's head with water gushing from its mouth into a large tub-like basin. A dove is noted near the young woman which symbolizes her purity. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we only use an abundance of solid colors to produce a more realistic effect.
