This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Girl Veiling Herself designed from a painting by Nasreddine Etienne Dinet shows a young woman from North Africa applying a veil over her face as an act of modesty and her cultural identity.  Her smile is captivating, and her expression is pleasant.  The artist, who was a French Orientalist painter, centered his work on painting women from that area of the world as I suspect he appreciated their beauty and culture.  The colors he used were rich and vibrant in tone, and his technique allowed him to capture the softness of texture in the fabric the women wore in their attire.  Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we only use an abundance of solid colors to produce a more realistic effect.
