This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Russian Beauty designed from a painting by Konstantin Egorovich Makovsky shows a beautiful young Russian woman dressed in a traditional headdress. The headdress is very ornate, encrusted with jewels, and she is wearing a number of beaded necklaces in pale blue gemstones. Underneath the necklaces, she wears a woven collar on top of her shimmering dress. Although her eyes are downcast, her cheeks are ablush, and we can definitely tell she is very beautiful, just as the artist has named her. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we use a variety of solid colors to achieve a more realistic effect.
