This fine art counted cross stitch pattern, entitled Tea, designed from a painting by George Dunlop Leslie, R.A., shows a woman holding her favorite teakettle, ready to serve tea. Notice that her attire consists of a bonnet with ruffles and a large ruffled collar to match.  The bonnet was worn not only as a fashion statement back in those days, but also to keep a woman's hair out of the food when she prepared it.  She gazes back at us with every intention of being the perfect hostess.  Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we use a variety of solid colors to achieve a more realistic effect. Our charts are in black and white only.
