This fine art counted cross-stitch pattern entitled Feeding New Friends designed from a painting by Emile Munier shows a young girl in a soft white nightgown sharing her morning bowl of milk with three playful kittens on a tumbled bed.  In creating this piece, the artist wanted to emphasize the innocent bond between children and animals, no doubt finding beauty in the quiet chaos of a nursery. The palette is a gentle mix of sky blues and ivory silks, simply breathtaking! It captures the scent of fresh linens and the warmth of a sunlit room. For stitchers like myself who adore classic French realism, it is peak beauty.  Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we use a variety of solid colors to achieve a more realistic effect.
