This Christmas counted cross stitch pattern entitled Arcadian Christmas Tree shows a gorgeous Christmas tree adorned with a bright golden star and many gold and yellow ornaments. Several ornaments are suspended around the tree, and the tree is flanked by two large red and gold pillars. This representation is reminiscent of the ideal rural paradise that flourished in Arcadia in ancient Greek mythology, where the use of columns was quite popular. The light reflecting off the ornaments onto the flooring creates a dazzling display you can’t ignore. No blended colors are used. Instead, we use a variety of solid colors to achieve a more realistic effect.
