This fine art counted cross-stitch pattern entitled The Sense of Sight designed from a painting by Annie Louisa Swynnerton shows a winged figure looking upward in awe while wrapped in translucent drapery against an open horizon. Painted in 1895, this symbolist allegory explores both physical and spiritual vision, depicting an earth-bound angel overwhelmed by the wonder of the heavens. Her upturned gaze reflects an intense inner joy.  Our patterns use only full cross stitches. No blended colors are used. Instead, we use a variety of solid colors to achieve a more realistic effect.
