This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Notre Dame, Paris designed from a painting by Edwin Deakin shows a gorgeous representation of the famous Notre Dame Church in Paris, France. From the frontal view, the great church sort of resembles a large ancient ship. Others have noticed the resemblance too likening it to a ship or vessel carrying the faithful towards salvation. In 2019, the church caught fire due to an electrical malfunction and a lot of damage occurred which made restoration necessary. I am pleased to say that the church is now open and has been open since December of 2024. In this scene, the shades of blue and aqua in the sky with the clouds adding their light airiness to the scene creates a beautiful effect and provides a grand frame for such a magnificent architectural design. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we only use an abundance of solid colors to produce a more realistic effect.
