This flower counted cross stitch pattern in The Black Collection entitled Japanese Camellia designed from a painting by Pierre-Joseph Redoute shows a pure white flower with a large yellow center surrounded by green coppery leaves. Some of the leaves are curling and their undersides are of a copper hue. The leaves almost shine as if they were metallic in color and texture. This a very elegant looking flower that deserves our attention. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
