This owl counted cross stitch pattern entitled Southern White-Faced Owl shows a beautiful owl small in stature with large expressive eyes. It is a native of Africa and is a member of the Strigidae family. The colors of its feathers are grayish brown, black and white and it has dark eyes rimmed in gold. This owl's main diet consists of large insects and sometimes it gets bold enough to go after reptiles, birds and other mammals. Nevertheless, this is a fine specimen of an owl for all you owl lovers out there. No blended colors are used in our patterns. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect. Only full cross stitches are used in our designs.
