This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Writing the Declaration of Independence, designed from a painting by Jean Leon Gerome Ferris shows three of the Founding Fathers drafting and writing the Declaration of Independence.  The three men collaborating on this project are Thomas Jefferson, John Adams and Benjamin Franklin.  Benjamin Franklin and John Adams are seated at the table while Thomas Jefferson is standing and listening to Benjamin Franklin read the draft, and he gives his input.  The men are dressed in colonial attire, as was popular at that time, and documents were signed with a quill pen.  The natural light is shining through the window while this important process is taking place.  Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we use a variety of solid colors to achieve a more realistic effect.
