This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Cupid and Psyche, designed from a painting by Francois Pascal Simon Gerard shows the lovely Psyche just at the moment she receives a kiss from Cupid, the god of love. He gently kisses her on her forehead. The butterfly hovering over her head symbolizes her soul. Psyche is pictured nude from the waist up with a translucent covering her from the waist down, and a coral-colored wrap she is seated on. This presentation is based on a Roman myth. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we use a variety of solid colors to achieve a more realistic effect.
