This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Forest in Winter, designed from a painting by Barend Cornelis, shows a winter scene at dusk when the shades of darkness begin to enter the forest and shadows soon appear. Birds are in the sky trying to find a place to take cover for the night. A couple is seen walking down a path with their dog leading the way, while others are standing across from a tree, enjoying the tranquility of the forest. The faint glow of a golden sky is noted at the top left-hand corner, and the rest of the scene takes on a beautiful burgundy/taupe cast in color. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we use a variety of solid colors to achieve a more realistic effect.
